Before retiring, she worked as Postmaster in Guildhall for 31 years and served as Town Clerk and School Board Member. She loved writing poetry and sharing those rhymes with children and adults alike and published her book "Bits and Pieces" in 1989. She also enjoyed the outdoors especially, going for walks with her dog. Agnes was a wonderful grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert Deering in 1960 and son William Deering in 1981.
Agnes is survived by her only daughter Sharon Frizzell and husband Richard of Groveton; grandchildren Tim Savage and wife Jenny of Groveton, Brett Savage, and Jessica Whitney of Lancaster, and Kerry Savage and Charles Grootenboer of Guildhall; great-grandchildren Randy Savage, Hunter Savage, Kalie Savage, Zachary Savage, Matthew Savage, Micki Grootenboer, and Macie Grootenboer; and great-great-grandchildren Preston Savage and Seth Savage.
