Mrs. Kathy (Diviney) Childress, 51, of the Gardner community near Martin died 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2012, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was a former resident of Obion County.
Funeral services for Mrs. Childress will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home. Brother George Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Austin, Ray Austin, Joe Keith Childress, Joe Keith Childress II,
Mrs. Childress was born May 24, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of Hollis "Popeye" Diviney of Troy and Ann (Cook) Lockhart of Hamilton, Mississippi. She married Kevin Childress on January 14, 2000. He survives. She was a homemaker.
She is also survived by her daugher and son-in-law, Brandy and George Moore of Hot Springs, Arkansas; her step mother, Frances Diviney of Troy; two granddaughters, Macayden Moore and Emma Moore both of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two brothers, Gary Diviney and Tim Diviney both of Troy; her sister, Melissa Barnes of Water Valley, Kentucky; and two aunts, Jean Mills of Martin and Pat Napier of Union City.
