Major League Baseball Player: A World War 1 veteran and St. Louis, Missouri native, he made his Major League debut on October 2, 1920 for the hometown St. Louis Browns. Appearing in 2 games in 1920 and 4 games in 1921 before going back to the minor leagues, he did not make it back in the big leagues until 1923 when he appeared in 4 games with the Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers). After another two year stint in the minors, he resurfaced with the Ty Cobb-managed Detroit Tigers, appearing in 11 games. He was traded by Detroit along with Lefty Stewart, Frank "Blackie" O'Rourke and Otto "Moonie" Miller back to the Browns in exchange for Marty McManus, Bobby LaMotte and Pinky Hargrave on January 15, 1927. He appeared in a career high 15 games in 1928 for the Browns before he went back to the minors for a final time. His major league totals were 11 hits and 2 RBI's in 36 games for a .220 lifetime average. He also scored 5 runs and had an .884 lifetime fielding average. His minor league career had him making stops with clubs in Mobile, Bridgeport, Fort Worth, Toronto, Dallas, Kansas City, Reading, Beaumont and Galveston.
