Valley Morning Star (Harlingen, Texas) Tuesday, April 17, 1951; page 7, column 1 - "Two From Elsa Injured In Crash - THREE RIVERS - Charles Aaron Riley, 20, of McCoy, was killed early Monday when the car he was driving collided with a truck filled with 13 migrant workers. -- Two occupants of the truck were seriously injured..." --- Abilene Reporter-News (Abilene, Texas) Tuesday, April 17, 1951; page 9B, column 3 - "1 Killed, 2 Hurt In Auto-Truck Crash - THREE RIVERS, Tex., April 16 - Charles Aaron Riley, 20, of McCoy, was killed and two person seriously injured in a car-truck head-on crash about five miles north of here on U.S. Highway 281 about 12:45 a.m. Monday. -- Riley was driving south and the truck was headed north with 13 migrant workers from Elsa. They were en-route to Wyoming. -- Seriously injured were two occupants of the truck."
