Hazel A. Griffith, 88, of Homeland Center, Harrisburg and formerly of Mercer St., died Monday, January 9, 2012 in the Center.
She was a retired Supervisor for the PA Dept. of Health, a lifetime member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Harrisburg, a former member of its Helen Farner Sunday School Class and the 29th St. Golden Agers.
Hazel was a devoted friend and companion to her many friends over the years and to Christ Lutheran Church.
She was the daughter of the late Chester E. and Pauline R. Blanchard Griffith and was preceded in death by her sister, Alma I. Griffith in 1984. There are no immediate survivors.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., in Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23rd & Derry Streets, Harrisburg with Rev. Jody Silliker, her Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Altoona. A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 124 S. 13th St., Harrisburg, PA 17104.
