A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, a homemaker and retired school teacher, she died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 86 and a native of Garyville.
Visiting at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 12:30 p.m. until funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, celebrated by the Rev. Burns. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two daughters, Mary Jeanne Breakfield, Lafayette, and Helen Koehler and husband, Wayne, Morriston, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael Joseph and Mary Anne Frenzel, Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law, Nita Frenzel Wallace, Decatur, Ala.; eight grandchildren, E. Renee Frenzel, Patrick Frenzel, Michael S. Frenzel, Elizabeth Frenzel McCarty, Neal Breakfield, Jo Ellen Breakfield, Daniel Breakfield and Sarah Young; and a brother, Leicester Jeanfreau. Preceded in death by husband, Earl E. Frenzel Sr.; a son, Earl E. Frenzel Jr.; a grandchild, Robin Frenzel Wallace; parents, Pallbearers will be Patrick Frenzel, Michael S. Frenzel, Neal Breakfield, Daniel Breakfield, Harold Wallace and John A. Young. She graduated from LSU in 1932 with a degree in zoology. She was a member of the original faculty at St. Aloysius Catholic School, where she taught second grade for 20 years. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Third Order of St. Francis and Order of the Holy Sepulcher. She was a volunteer with Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge LA 70806, Alzheimer Association, 2142 Quail Run Drive, Baton Rouge LA 70808, or Batten Disease Support and Research Association, 2600 Parsons Ave., Columbus OH 43207.
