Andrea Benson went home to the Lord July 24, 2009, after a long illness. Also surviving are parents Joseph Bates and Dixie Bates, sister Carla (Walter) Vigil and many nieces and nephews.

Andi was born in Lawton, Okla. in 1951 and traveled the world. Her final resting place is Tooele. Andi loved sports and horseback riding, playing with her grandkids and her Great Danes. Andi had an awesome sense of humor, making everyone around her laugh.

We would like to extend a special thank you to Ruby Anaya for being there for our mother.

There will be a memorial in her honor Friday at 6 p.m. at St. Margarite's Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, Andi wanted people to donate to there nearest animal rescue.
