WHITEVILLE — Gordon C. Britt, 73, of Rt. 3, Tabor City, died Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pireway Free Will Baptist Church by the Rev. Clarence Cribb. Burial will be in Ward Cemetery, Longwood. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Smith Britt; two sons, Thomas R. Britt of Whiteville and Clyde Britt of Fairmont; three daughters, Mrs. Bennie (Vita) Carlyle of Whteville, Mrs. William (Margaret) Ehling of Greensboro, and Mrs. Donald (Sally) MacCallum of Wilmington; two sisters, Mrs. Kermit (Pearl) Monroe of Lumberton and Mrs. Stedman (Dola) Boney of Bennettsville, S. C.; five brothers, Kail, Foye and Algon Britt, all of Barnsville, Lawton Britt of Evergreen, Witon Britt of Rockingham; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren He was a retired farmer.
