Mrs. Ada Abbott Knight Brooks, 62, of 1134 Columbia College Dr., died Thursday morning in the Baptist Hospital.
She was born in Richland county, the daughter of Mrs. Humming Marsh Abbott and the late Ed Abbott.
Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Church of God, and had made her home in Atlanta for five years returning to Columbia a year ago.
Survivors in addition to her mother, Mrs. H. Abbott, Pelion, are a brother, James Abbott, Conway; six sisters, Mrs. Mary Marsh, Mrs. Ruby Sutton, Mrs. L. A. Frick, Mrs. T. W. Hornsby, all of Columbia; Mrs. Idess Moore, Union, and Mrs. E. L. Younginer, Pelion.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Thompson Funeral Home by the Rev. J. C. Hunnicutt, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Olympia Cemetery.
