Bea Gehrt was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Pocahontas County in Iowa. She attended schools in the Bradgate area and completed cosmetology school in Fort Dodge.
She married Doyle Livasy Aug. 9, 1947, in Fort Dodge. There she owned Bea's Beauty Salon before retiring to Mesa, Ariz., in 1988.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Trinity United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. She enjoyed golfing, square dancing and stained-glass making.
Survivors include: three sons, Vernon (and wife, Judy) Livasy of Fremont, John (and wife, Donna) Livasy of Fairborn, Iowa, and Bob (and wife, Pam) Livasy of Spencer, Iowa; three sisters, Mary Larson of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Doris (Mrs. Geoff) Landmesser of Gilmore City, Iowa, and Esther (Mrs. Dick) Jergens of Gilmore City, Iowa; one brother, Dale Gehrt of Eufaula, Okla.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Jeffrey.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at Bruce's Funeral Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
The family will be present for visitation from 6 p.m. to
9 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge.
