Salmon Eno was the father of the New York branch of this family.
1934 he was a member of the Connecticut Legislature.
He held several public offices, surveyor of highways, fence viewer and lister, assessor, selectman, grand juror, visitor of schools and board of relief member.

He lived first in the huse of Mr. Colton, east of the railroad near Hoskins Station (14 St. John's Place. Amos Richards Eno was born in this house. He then moved to a house he bought from Joseph Humphrey at 987 Hopmeadow Street. His son Salmon Chester Eno later lived in the house.

1840 Salmon and Mary moved to New Britain to the 100 acre farm of Aaron Roberts which Mary had inherited. When Salmon died 1844, Mary deeded the Roberts farm to her daughter Emeline Eno Bassett (Ozias). Mary moved to a house on Washington Street in New Britain. She was considered one of the most loved and honored persons in the town.
