Clarissa Geneva Allen, age 84 of St. Anthony, Indiana passed away on Sunday (September 18, 2011) in the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper.

She was born at St. Anthony, Indiana on February 20, 1927 to Orville and Mary (Miller) Deinderfer. She married Elmer J. Allen on October 4, 1947 in St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Terre Haute, Indiana.


Clarissa worked and help operate the Allen's Family Restaurant in Huntingburg, Indiana for over 20 years..

She is a member of St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony for over 55 years. – Christian Mothers Society and (CRHP) Christ Renews His Parish and (RCIA) Rite of Christian initiation Of Adults. She was a former member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper.

Clarissa was an avid bible reader and prayer warrior and was a blessing to all who knew her.

Rite of Christian Burial for Clarissa Geneva Allen will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (September 24, 2011) in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery.

Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony.
