OBITUARY Died- In Worth county, Mo., Aug 21, 1892, Mr. Geo. Hennegin, almost 90 years of age. Mr. Hennegin was born in Manlass, N.Y., October 17, 1803. He came to Ripley County, Ind., in 1819 and ranks among the last of the old pioneer. He married Susan Montgomery of this county on August 28th, 1828. They were the parents of five sons and three daughters, of whom Mrs. Wm. Gookins is the eldest daughter. Mr. Hennegin moved with his family to Wappello county, Iowa, during the year 1855, where he resided until the death of his beloved wife, which occurred in 1859. A few years later he removed to Worth county, Mo., where he continued to reside with his son James until death called him home. He was well known in Ripley county and was a man of strong Christian character, a kind parent ad friend. The last years of his life were years of helplessness, being infirm and afflicted, but he was blessed with a kind and faithful son who was constantly at his side, administering to every want, anticipating every desired until the end came. Many relatives and friends are left to mourn. Mr Hennegin was a brother of the late Henry Hennegin, Sr. who departed this life January, 1890.
