He is on the cemetery list as #216. This may be the plot number as well. Newton is the son of Silas and Lucinda Adams. He and his wife Lucinda had at least 10 children. He lived in Cherokee Alabama most if not all of his life. His children included (As they are listed on the census records)
Lavinia Adams b.1864, Samantha Adams b.1866, Louisa Adams b.1868,Laura Adams b.1870, Caswell Adams b.1872, Pasade Adams b.1874 – Milton Adams b.1876, Ada Adams b.1879, Baily C Adams b.1883, Brother B Adams b.1895.

This list may not be complete. I have verified with the member who submitted the grave photo that this is located in the Black Creek Cemetery in Etowah county just over the county line from Cherokee county Alabama.

Newton F. Adams fought for the Confederacy as a Private in the A Company of the 12th Alabama Cavalry.
