SLIDER, MICHAEL SCOTT, 51, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009 after a long illness.

He attended Durrett high School and Louisville Technical Institute where he earned a degree in Architectural Engineering. He was a retired salesman.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Nelson Slider Jr.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 19 years, Cathy Conway Slider; his mother, Mary Jane Slider; sister, Cathy Hahn (Boyd); brother, Jim Slider; niece, Karen Hahn; nephews, Robbie Hahn and Matthew Slider (Lynn); many loving family members and friends; as well as his four legged companion, Gracie.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 3016 Preston Hwy., with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.

His family has requested that all expressions of sympathy take the form of a contribution to Hosparus of Louisville, 3532 Ephraim McDowell Dr., Louisville, KY 40205.
