Born July 22, 1910 in Patapsco,
She was the daughter of the late
Samuel Hugo Smith and Jenny Taylor Smith.
She was the wife of the late
Arthur Coonan Taylor who predeceased
her in 1978 and the mother
of the late Arthur Smith Taylor
who died Nov. 14, 1990.
She was a 1927 graduate of the
Westminster High School and was
the first cashier and ticket taker at
the Carroll Theatre. She had
worked Colonial Jewelers and had
been a cook and waitress at the
both Renjo Restuarant in Hampstead
and Sharkey's Restuarant of
Westminster.
In her very early years, she was
a former organist at Wesley United
Methodist Church.
Surviving her are son Robert
Carl Taylor of Elkton; companion
Edward Edwards of Wesminster;
eight grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on
Monday, March 21, at 11 a.m. from
the Myers Funeral Home, 91 Willis
St., Westminster with the Rev.
Donald Pickens of the First Assembery
of God Church officiating.
Burial will be in Wesley United
Methodist Cemetery.
