Ruby May Sweeny, 92, of Railroad Avenue in Springvale, died June 3, 2004 at the Renaissance Nursing Home in Biddeford.
She was born December 1, 1911 in Limerick the daughter of Arthur and Eva (Beal) Gilpatrick and came to Springvale at nine years of age. Ruby worked as a rover operator at the Goodall Mills until 1954. She then held employment at Lovell's Pharmacy and Sprague Electric before she retired.
At one time, Mrs. Sweeney attended the Springvale First Baptist Church. She enjoyed her home and the companionship of her cat.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alphy Sweeney in 1983.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Springvale. There will be no calling hours.
