Funeral services for Norman C. "Toby" Tobleman, 2228 Seawall, will be held at 4 p.m. today at the First Lutheran Church, the Rev. Douglas Guthier officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Galveston, under direction of J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home.

Mr. Tobleman died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital. He was 83. Born in Galveston on Oct. 1, 1895, Mr. Tobleman was the former owner of Toby's Grocery. A lifetime Galveston resident, he was a member of the First Lutheran Church. Surviving are two sons, Norman Tobleman Jr. and William Tobleman, both of La Marque; five daughters, Norma Schaper and Virginia Wood, both of Galveston, Dorothy Faulkner of Houston, Florence Giusti of League City and Betty Albright of Trinity, Texas; two nieces, one nephew, one cousin, ?? grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Visitors may call at the state at the funeral home any time today. Pallbearers will be Ken Giusti, Larry Giusti, A.C. Schaper Jr., David Faulkner, Dennis Tobleman and Ralph Albright. Memorials may be sent to the First Lutheran Church Organ Fund.
