He was a World War II Navy veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Kay Kennedy of Ft. Wayne; a son, William of Haltom City TX; a stepson, Richie Shropshire of Ft. Wayne; a sister, Ardola Scott of Ft. Wayne; a brother, Harry Bowers of Mobile AL; a stepsister, Bernadine Fisher of Ft. Wayne; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael, in 1993. Services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd. Calling from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in Greenlaw Memorial Park.
