KNOWN CHURCH WORKER DIES SUNDAY
Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Perkins Dies at Age of 82 Is Survived by Four Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Ann Elizabeth Perkins, a well known resident and church worker of this city, died Sunday at 12:30 after a several weeks' illness. Death was due to complications and old age. Mrs. Perkin's resided at 208 W. First st. She was born at Yates, Orleans county. New York. Feb. 25", 1832, and was 82 years of age. Her maiden name was Ann Elizabeth Minzey and she was married the first time to Hosea Oatman, May 1, 1849, at Yates. N. Y. From Yates she move to Bristol. Ind., where she resided until she came to Mishawaka in the fall of 1863. She resided here until 1876 when she moved with the family to Toledo. O., where her husband passed away April 18, 1878. .She in company with her family returned to Mishawaka where she has since lived. She was again married in 1883 to Pardon J. Perkins who died in March, 1895. In 1896 she was married for the third time to William T. Perkins, who passed away Aug. 12, 1912. Mrs. Perkins was united with the Methodist church at the age of eleven years and has been a life long member of this church. She was an active and consistent religious worker her entire life. She was also an active worker in the W. C. T. U. and in other temperance lines. Mrs. Perkins was well known in this citv and had a large circle of friends both young ard old in the Methodist church of this city. She is survived by three children, one daughter, Mrs. Harriet Sherman, of South Coffeeville, Okla., two sons Frank Oatman of Toledo, O., and Wilbur Oatman Flint. Mich. She also leaves four grandchildren andfour great grandchildren, besides a host of friends. The funeral arrangements have not yet been arranged but will be announced later.
