Obituary / Additional Information: Mrs. Christena Elizabeth Lammers 74, wife of Louis H. Lammers, died at 3:15 this morning at her home one and a half miles southeast of New Knoxville. Mrs. Lammers was one of the best known and highly esteemed citizens in that community. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Meckstroth and was born near New Knoxville, February 6, 1858. She was united in marriage of March 1, 1883, to Louis H. Lammers, who survives, together with two sons and two daughters, Henry and William Lammers, Mrs. Theo. H. Kuck and Mrs. Herman Schrolucke all residing in New Knoxville. Mrs. Lammers was a devout member of the German Reformed church at New Knoxville, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Dr. L.J. Kunst officiating. Burial in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
