WILLIAMSPORT - Emanuel Foster Wolfe, 83, of 10404 Mikie Drive, died Sunday, April 20, 1997, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Dec. 29, 1913, in Funkstown, he was the son of the late William D. and Sadie Blanche Davis Wolfe.

He was last employed by Landis Tool Co. in Waynesboro, Pa., for 20 years and retired in 1976. He was previously employed by Stickell's Flour & Feed Mills in Hagerstown for 18 years. He also worked on several farms in the Funkstown and Hagerstown areas.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he served for two years during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He was a member of Mountain View Baptist church and was a member of Jolly 60s Ministry.

He was a member of National AARP and Marlowe Ruritan Club, Marlowe, W.Va.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathryn E. Mong Wolfe; one daughter, Dolores M. Hayes of Hagerstown; one son, Emanuel E. Wolfe Sr. of Boonsboro; two sisters, Genevieve Everhart and Gloria M. Pleasant, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; one brother, Donald J. Wolfe of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, William David Wolfe; four sisters; and seven brothers.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. Pastor William Clark and Pastor Tom Tennis will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain View Baptist Church Building or Land Fund, Walnut Point Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21740; or Missionary, Debra Beaver, c/o Mountain View Baptist Church, 12107 Walnut Point Road, Hagerstown, Md. 21740.
