History of Witter, Arkansas 1830-2003 compiled by Joy Anderson Russell

Page 228 says: Drury and Mary are believed to be buried in Captain Smith Cemetery, in the center near the big trees. Alton "Tobe" Reeves told Joy Russell in the early 1990's about the "old Reeves" graves there. They are marked by fieldstones only and Tobe said they were some of the earliest graves in the cemetery and belonged to some of the first Reeves settlers in the Witter area.

Drury came to Madison County about 1835. He was in the 1830 Henderson Co TN, census and is listed on the 1850 Slave Schedule of Madison County, which means that he owned slaves. Drury Reeves, Private, is listed as one of the enlisted men in the War of 1812 in Tennessee. His wife, Mary Eliabeth, received $8:00 per month as a widow's pension.
