Lee Monroe Patrick was born March 14, 1899, at Linwood, Leavenworth County, Kansas, the son of Thomas Patrick and Eva Gideon Patrick. He served 34 months in the American Forces in Coblenz, Germany after World War I. He was married in 1926 to Nina Meehan. They moved to Huron in 1931 and operated a service station and later a motel. In 1946 he opened Lee's Drive-In which he operated until his retirement in 1960. Survivors include his wife; Nina; three daughters; nine grandchildren; one brother, Charles of Crane, Missouri; and two sisters, Lilly Nation of Pleasanton, Kansas; and Margaret Cornog of Spokane, Missouri.
