Born July 18, 1928, in Ridgeley, W.Va., he was a son of the late Kepton Brite and Irma Gertrude (Hart) Burrell. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Sara Miller; and one brother, Eugene Burrell.
In his early years, Charlie served in the U.S. Navy, from 1945 to 1952, and retired at the rank of M.E.W. 1st Class with a personal letter of honor from Admiral Arleigh Burke, Chief of Naval Operations.
Locally, he was a carpenter by trade and known by many as a lay minister over the years, serving as interim pastor of Kitzmiller Assembly of God, Maple Grove Assembly of God, and Glad Tidings Assembly of God, to name a few. Charlie also served as deacon and youth leader, and in nursing home ministry. He was president and vice president for many years of Full Gospel Businessman's Ministerial Association. He loved to serve the Lord. We will miss him here, but know he is happy there.
