Clyde Cranor - Clyde A. Cranor, 96, a resident of Altoona, died Saturday, March 2, 1996, at Hillcrest Manor Nursing Center in Fredonia.
He was born in Altoona, Jan. 21, 1900, to Edward L. and Gertrude A (Middleton) Cranor.
In 1951, he married Mrs. Sarah Swartz Jarred in Bentonville, Ark., and she died in 1967. He was a longtime Altoona area farmer.
Survivors are one stepson, Kenneth Jarred of Michigan; three brother, Robert S. Cranor and Richard Earl Cranor, both of Altoona, and Austin Cranor of Chanute; four sisters, Blanche Dryden and Ruby Maxwell, both of Independence, Lela Lehman of Sacramento, Calif., and Norene Johnson of Lancaster, Calif.; three step-grandehildren.
Services will be held at 2p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home, Neodesha. Burial will be in the Altoona Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today, March 4, at the funeral home.
