Mrs. Sarah Cranor, Altoona, Dies Here.
Mrs. Sarah Ann Cranor, 59, Altoona, died at 1:05 p.m. last Thursday at the Wilson County Hospital.
Sarah A. Swartz, daugther of Henry and Jennie Mae (Cole) Swartz, was born June 9, 1908 at Altoona. She was married October 18, 1933 at Fredonia to Walter F. Jarred, who preceded her in death May 26, 1949. On November 28, 1951 she was married to Clyde A. Cranor at Bentonville, Ark. She had lived in Kansas most of her life.
She is survived by her husband of the home at Altoona; one son, Kenneth Jarred, Derby, Kan.; three grandchildren; and two aunts, Mrs. Martha Velton, Altoona, and Mrs. Jay (Grace) Cranor, Sacramento, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Alfred Swartz, who died June 27, 1964.
Mrs. Cranor was a member of the Altoona Holiness Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Altoona Christian Church under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Douglas of Parsons officiated. Interment was at Altoona Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Charles Rettmann, Lloyd Bretches, Merrill Frankenbery, Hugh Douglas, Jr., Dean Cranor and Marion Maxwell. Mrs. Morris Forsythe sang "In the Garden" and Beyond the Sunset". She was accompanied by Mrs. Reed Streets.
