Daughter of James Luther Boles (1880-1954) and Winona Esther Lancaster (1881-1952). She married J.C. Girod on June 29, 1935. Three children were born of this union. She later divorced and married Horace Jasper Barnhill in 1962. At age 78 she died in Ventura, CA.
