Wife of Carter L. Roundy
ROY - Vera Moore Roundy, 90, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2005. She was born May 7, 1915 in Layton, Utah to Lloyd Moore and Alice Ann Doman. She was reared and educated in Kaysville, Utah.
She enjoyed planting in her garden, quilting, and spending time with her dog Tasha.
Vera married the love of her life, Carter L. Roundy on July 23, 1934, in Layton, Utah. They were married 65 years before he passed away on January 18, 1999.
Vera was an active member of the LDS Church. She worked for the American Can Company where she retired from after 30 years. She was President of the Ladies Auxiliary Eagles club, and volunteered her time at St. Benedicts Hospital, McKay Dee Hospital, and Weber Memorial Hospital for many years.
She is survived by her four sons; Terry (Denice) Roundy, West Point, Kent Roundy, Roy, Don (Lorraine) Roundy, Riverdale, Rick (Sandy) Roundy, Farr West, one daughter, Yvonne Day, Roy, her sister Mary Alice Duncan, Clinton, 22 grandchildren, and 43 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carter, two sons, one daughter, one brother, two sisters, one grandchild, Melissa, and one son in-law, Ronald J. Woolsey.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at McKay-Dee Hospital and the Nursing staff at Heritage Park Care Center and Country Pines Assisted Living for their wonderful care.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Viewing will be held at Leavitts on Thursday, June 9, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and on Friday one hour prior to the services.
Interment at Washington Heights Memorial Park.
