Bessie Evelyn Vitale Hall was born October 17th, 1898 in Modale, Harrison, Iowa, United States. Her parents were Michele (Mike) and Mary Mariah Boyd Vitale (Arnett) Bessie was married to Harvey A McNeill who preceeded her in death in 1937. Bessie later then married Harry J. Hall in 1947 and was married to Harry until her death in August of 1984.

Bessie was the mother to Faye Annette McNeill Larson and Patricia Lu McNeill Taylor. Bessie was the grandmother to six grandchildren and many many great grandchildren.

Bessie worked as a riveter for Boeing during the second world war, she also ran a boarding house, and baked pies to make ends meet. Her lemon meringue pies were the best on the planet.

Aside from her green thumb (growing the most beautiful pansies ever)Bessie was an accomplished seamstress,sewing fabulous pajamas each Christmas for her great granchildren.

Known for her quit witt, delightful sense of humor and cut throat Scrabble skills Bessie was loved by all especially her husband Harry J Hall. The two met in Seattle, Washington, where they married and lived very happily together for 37 years.
