Archer, Harold D. Sr., 85, of R.D.#1, West Finley, (Washington County) Pennsylvania, died Wednesday (November 4, 1992) in the Breese Rest Home, Claysville, PA. (He was born April 8, 1907.) Mr. Archer was a self employed farmer, a retired employee of Columbia Gas Transmission Corp., former member of Dallas Presbyterian Church and a member of Roney's Point United Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette McDonald Archer on May 22, 1972; his second wife, Martha Orr Barney Archer on March 12, 1987; a son, C. Vance Archer; an infant grandson; an infant granddaughter; his parents, J. Robert Archer and Gertrude L. Milliken Archer; a sister. Surviving are a son, Harold Dwight Archer, Jr. of R.D. #1, West Finley, PA; a daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Romaine) Iams of Wheeling, WV; a brother, Robert W. Archer of West Alexander, PA; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Madalyn) Day and Gladys Day both of R.D. #2, West Finley, PA; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, PA, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Howard S. Smith officiating. Interment in Mt. View Cemetery, Dallas, WV.
