Older residents of the community remember one of Livermore's most exciting and tragic fires as the blaze which destroyed his horse barn and severl valuable animals. He was a Past Grand of Livermore Lodge, Odd Fellows, joining the lodge in 1898 and maintaining his membership continuously for fifty-three years up to the time of his death.

He was survived by two sons, Edgar and Charles, and a daughter, Mrs. Alyce Allen.

1899 Marriage:

Miss Cora B. McIver and Curtis H. Acker, both of Livermore, were quietly married on Sunday, at the home of Rev. J. Hicks of that place.
Miss Tillie Jackson was the bride’s attendant and Henry Seeband acted as best man.
