Virginia Jividen, 90, formerly of Richwood, died early Saturday morning, Oct. 14, 2006, at the Community Health Care Center in Marion.She was a homemaker and a member of the Community United Calvary Church in Richwood. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their camper. She also enjoyed canning. But the mission and love of her life was taking care of her husband and eight children. Eventually this also involved her grandchildren and great- and great-great grandchildren.She was born Dec. 5, 1915, in Putnam County. W. Va., to the late William and Juanita Rayburn Daugherty. On April 21, 1934, in Robertsburg, W.Va., she married Dayton Earl Jividen, and he died Jan. 1, 2001. She also was predeceased by two daughters, Muriel Evans and Juanita Eaches, and eight brothers and sisters.Surviving are her children, Janice (Kenneth) Linstedt of Waldo, Bonnie (Bob) Dill of Loveland, Colo., Marilyn (Larry) Hauck of Cusseta, Ga., Eileen (the Rev. Jerry) Pfarr of Tulsa, Okla., David Jividen of Heath, and Michael (Ruth) Jividen of Hilliard; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lester Daugherty of Phoenix, and William Daugherty of Lincolnton, N.C., and a sister, Juanita Hartley of Huntington, W. Va.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood, where friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. The Revs. Fred Cheney and Jerry Pfarr will officiate. Burial will be in Claibourne Cemetery.
