Funeral services for Deborah Lester, 18, of Mount Union will be held on Thursday, February 27, 1969. Miss Lester was born February 16, 1951 at Huntingdon, a daughter of Eugene Lester and Thelma Morton. She made her home with her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Daisy Morton of Mount Union, Pa.
Surviving, in addition to her grandmother and mother, Mrs. Thelma Morton Reed, are her step-father, Hezekiah Reed, Harrisburg and these brothers and sisters: Howard, Robbette and Thurman, all of Harrisburg and Judith A Lester, residing with Mrs. Morton in Mount Union. There are a number of aunts and uncles.
Miss Lester was a member of the Mount Hope Baptist Church, Mount Union, and of the Sunday School and the church young people's group. She was a senior at Mount Union Area High School, where she belonged to the Nike Club and chorus. She participated in the Upward Bound Program. The Rev. E.W. Jarrett will officiate and interment will be made in the Mount Union IOOF Cemetery.
