CAROLYN SUE (WATSON) UPCHURCH

Carolyn Upchurch (known as "Sue") died Sept. 3, 2008 at home in Seattle, WA following a brave battle with cancer. She was 67 years old.

Sue was born and raised in Chariton and graduated from Chariton High School. She attended nursing school in Omaha, becoming an RN specializing in pediatric care. Following nursing school, she moved to Seattle where she resided until her death.

After retiring from nursing in 1996 she devoted much of her time to gardening, her favorite hobby and spent several years volunteering at a local botanic garden.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Upchurch of Seattle and her son, David Upchurch of Millstadt, IL.

A burial will be held in Chariton at a later date. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
