Anthony Biciche, 41
"Funeral services were scheduled to be held today, Thursday, at St. Anthony’s in San Gabriel, followed by burial in Resurrection Cemetery in the same city, for Anthony C. Biciche, 41, who died Sunday Born in Rochester, N Y , he moved to California in 1944 and graduated from Alhambra High School. In 1949 he went to work for the Postoffice department in San Gabriel and wed Renee Clark of Alhambra. Following the outbreak of war in Korea he joined the Air Force and spent four years, 1951-55, in that service. He served in Korea and in the intelligence division in Austria and at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. After mustering out, he moved to Pomona and worked again for the Post office department in Covina. In July of 1963 he moved to Healdsburg and went to work in the Santa Rosa office. He was in the personnel department at the time of his death. He was active in the Postal Clerks Union, serving in various capacities, including vice president and president. He was also a member of a local bowling team. He and his wife have been active in providing homes for foster children for several years. Survivors include his widow, Renee, and a son, David, both of the home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Biciche of Rosemead; two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Young, Covina, and Mrs. Mary Williams of Concord, and a brother, Alphonse Biciche of Rosemead. The family has announced that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to a special fund for the purchase of a special $450 wheelchair for the use of the spastic six-year-old girl the couple have had for several years, Mrs. Biciche said Mr. Biciche had been saving his overtime pay since Jan. 1 toward the purchase of the chair . . . unknown to her."
