SHIRLEY NADINE GRANT: Shirley Nadine Grant's genealogical lineage has been documented by the NSDAR.

Shirley Nadine Grant was born to Parker Ulysses Grant and Louise Fredica Eimers-Grant on May 20, 1927. She was the first of their three children. She was an excellent cook like her mother, and a wonderful homemaker. Her Christian faith and her family meant everything to her. Nadine married Charles Leonard Wakeman, who was descended from another very old and historic family line. They had one daughter, Karen Louise Wakeman.

Shirley Nadine Grant descends from very old and historic lineage on the Grant side of her family. On her father's side, Nadine has direct ancestral lineage to three Patriot Revolutionary War veterans as follows: (1) Josiah (Joseph) Graves, Jr. (1750-1814), (2) Josiah Graves, Sr. (1725-1777), and (3) Francis Beard (abt. 1745-Unknown). Also on her father's side, Shirley Nadine Grant has direct ancestral lineage to the following Loyalist Revolutionary War veterans: (1) Dr. James Stewart (1711-1804), and (2) Johan Adam Papst (1732-1807).

Another source of ancestral pride for Nadine was her Scottish heritage and her membership in both the "Clan Grant" and "Clan Royal Stuart". Nadine's ancestral lineage descends directly back to King Robert I of Scotland (Robert The Bruce) through the Barons of Kincardine as follows:.

*Parker Ulysses Grant-1900-1980
