Charles O. Fallis, 77, died July 14, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born February 13, 1932, in Hutchinson, the son of Russell R. and Mabel Matties Fallis. Charles served as a Corporal with the Army during the Korean War, and then transferred and retired with the Navy Reserves. He worked as a machinist with the Cessna/Eaton Corp., retiring after 30 plus years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361 and the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68.

On May 25, 1952, he married Donna J. Janette in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: son, Vince Fallis and wife Carol, Belton, MO.; and daughter, Penny Fallis, Miami, FL.; brothers, Wendell Fallis and Russell Lou Fallis, both of Hutchinson; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, David and Delwayne Fallis; brother, Bud Fallis; and four sisters, Velma, Elma, Marie, and Liola.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with military graveside honors conducted by the U.S. Naval Honor Guard. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson. Memorials may be sent to the V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361, or the American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, in care of Elliott Mortuary.
