Archie B. Adams (1926 - 2012)

Archie B. Adams, 85, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 5713 Forest Hill Drive, Fort Worth. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.

Archie was born July 2, 1926, to Vinnie and Rita Parker Adams of Burkett. He served in the Pacific theater in World War II on the USS W.M.P. Biddle. He married the love of his life, Geneva Keefer, on March 24, 1951, at Cross Plains Presbyterian Church in Cross Plains. Archie and Geneva lived in Fort Worth for 40 years. They raised five boys, David, Raymond, Archie, Max and James. They moved to Crowley in 1991. He retired from Bell Helicopter after 28 1/2 years. They have been members of Forest Hill Presbyterian Church for 60 years. Archie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lucille; and one son, Archie.

Survivors: Loving wife of 61 years, Geneva Keefer Adams; sons, David Adams and wife, Tina, Raymond Adams, Max Adams and wife, Gloria and James Adams and wife, Kristin; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
