As recorded on Jacob's NJ Certificate of Death, his place of burial was recorded as, "Oceanville Cemetery". In "Entertaining a Nation", by Writer's Project, Work Projects Administration, copyright 1940 by The City of Long Branch, p. 14, Oceanville Cemetery is recorded and noted that it was deeded by Brinley in 1791. This is the same cemetery that is also known as, "Old Free Church Cemetery".
