Mrs. Fred W. (Iola) Arnold--June 19, 1892--August 3, 1978

Funeral services conducted in the Bradley Funeral Service Chapel, 1020 West Okmulgee, Monday, August 7, 1978, at 2:00 p.m.
Mrs. Iola Augusta Arnold, 86, was born June 19, 1892, in [Battle Creek], Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Rickman. Mrs. Arnold was reared in Iowa, and receive her formal education there [and in So. Dakota]. After receiving her teaching certification, Mrs. Arnold taught schools in So. Dakota. In June of 1914, she and Fred W. Arnold were married. (Following their marriage she worked as a barber with her husband in Milltown,Polk,WI). Mrs. Arnold had been active in all phases of her church work until her illness forced curtailment. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church since 1938, when she moved to Muskogee [from Wyoming].
She is survived by her two sons, Harold F. Arnold of Napa, Idaho, and Mervin J. Arnold of Muskogee; three daughters, Mrs. Bernam (Myrtis) Hovinga of Seattle, Washington, Mrs. Evelyn Montgomery of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Pete (Arnell) Stone of Riverton, Wyoming; 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
