Stella M. Carson, 86, of Connellsville, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. She was born April 5, 1924, in Fayette County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Margaret Shaffer. Stella was formerly employed at the Royal Bakery in Connellsville for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Arthur Mardis; her second husband, Walter Carson; and two sons, Samuel and James Mardis.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Geary Witt officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenlick Cemetery, Bullskin Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation in memory of Stella M. Carson.
