McCabe, Carolyn (Nee Polaski) Entered Eternal Life on October 19, 2009, at the age of 98. Resident of Milwaukee Catholic Home, formerly of Elm Grove and Mequon. Beloved wife for 52 years of the late John O'D. McCabe, MD. Loving mother of Michael (Maureen), Joan (Peter) Bruce, Jeffrey, Patrick (Bill Dehnke) and Daniel (Lee) McCabe. Proud grandmother of Douglas and Eric McCabe, Allison (Peter) Case, Steven (Liz) Bruce, Gregory (Beth) McCabe and Rachel (Todd) Collier, and great-grandmother of Brandon and Pierson Case. Further survived by other relatives and dear friends. Carolyn was a proud graduate of UW-Madison Business School and a longtime member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Carolyn's life was centered around her family. She was a dynamic woman whose strength of personality led her children to grow through her example. Her children spend much of the holidays extolling her genius in the kitchen. Carolyn will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to her special friend and caregiver Betty Cooper. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 23, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, at the Milwaukee Catholic Home, St. Anne Chapel, 2462 North Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee, followed by the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Mequon. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Carolyn's name may be made to the St. Labre Indian School, 1000 Tongue River Road, Ashland, MT 59003.
