Edeth Donna Bundy was born in Wisconsin. January 5, 1866, and departed this life May 28,1933, aged 68 years, 4 months and 23 days. When a child she moved with her parents to Dunlap, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to Hugh 0. Brown at Logan, Iowa, October 3, 1881, and they lived in that community until 1900, when they came to Fremont county, living near Hamburg since that time.
To this union fourteen children were born, three dying in infancy and the husband two and one-half years ago. Surviving are, Willis, a missionary in India, Ernest of Riverton, Mrs. Grace Dotel of Thurman, Mrs. Edna Dishong of Gordon, Nebr., Oscar, Harley, Ray, John, Wade, Mrs. Blanche Gardner and Mrs. Gladys Melton, all of near Hamburg.
Mrs. Brown united with the Methodist church near Logan in early life and was a constant christian until her death. No sacrifice was too great for her to bear for her home and family. Her home was her pleasure, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Besides her children she leaves two brothers and two sisters, living in Los Angeles, twenty-eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at West Mt. Olive church on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Leroy Zook, of Tabor, and music was furnished by the Tabor quartet. Interment was in the Hamburg cemetery.
