He is survived by his wife Linda (Knox) Butler of the home, one son Jeff Butler of Fort Cobb, a daughter Jennifer Butler of Hinton, and his grandchildren Dalton and Colton.
Survivors also include his siblings; Delmer Butler of Albert, Mary Williamson of Hydro, Roberta Gene Clayton of Choctaw, Sue Phillips of El Reno, Delia Pearl Williams of Texas.
He was "Uncle Elmer" to a number of nieces and nephews and is missed so much by them. He left behind a lot of friends as well.
He was diagnosed with cancer in October of 2002. The doctors told us he wouldn't live to see his next birthday but he did. He was a fighter. He and his "twin" brother Delmer were inseperable for the entire 61 years of their lives. They worked together nearly all their lives and you usually didn't see one without the other.
We will miss him always.
