W. N. Long Dead
The body of. W. N. Long was brought to Neodesha from Joplin last Saturday and buried in the Neodesha cemetery, the funeral services being conducted by Rev, J.A. Smith. Mr Long ws 48 years old and leaves a wife and six children. He died in Joplin Friday morning of typhoid fever. The family are
old time residents of Neodesha, having moved to Joplin about a year ago.

Dear Brothers and Sister
I now seat myself to
answer your letter that came
to hand yesterday Was glad
to here from you all this leavs
us all well at present hope
it will find you all the same
this is a Sorrow full time
for me and it pains me to think
of father I will miss him So
much Oh he was allways with
me evrry whre nearly and some
times I look out for him
but he cant come it is to Bad

to think of for he never
said a word that he
thought he was going to die
or any thing of the kind
but ito all for the Best
I recon But its awfull
to think of Wel Sarah
the weather is fine here
now yesterday a week ago
it Snowed here but now
it is all over and warm
I rate to Wes and told him
about that but aint heard
from him yet I wish that
you folks could come out
here and see un once more
if I ever get able to Ill come
back and see you all once
more did you get your papers

I sent you all a paper
of the Deth of father
father was well liked
here in town there is
lots of old men here
and he injoyed him
self with them every
Day he had lots of friend
and there was a big funeral
possesion from here
to the cemetery
this is the best town
in the world for people to
help Each other in case
of Deth of Sickness I must
Just say so the would help
me now but I cant say it
as long as I can work I hope
the weather will continue warm

So I can catch up with
my work I am 3 weeks
behind with my Jobs
got lots of Stone Work
and Some Brick Work
to do yet is the weather
will permit of it
