Television Show Host. He played 'Sargent Henry Pettipone' on "Dick Tracy" from 1961 to 1966. He joined "Bozo's Circus" in 1961 where he played 'Oliver O. Oliver', the hillbilly clown until 1971. He was the original Ronald McDonald. His most famous role was as the host of WGN (Chicago) television's "Breakfast with Buggy Bunny" starting in 1961. The show was renamed "Ray Rayner and his Friends" and ran until 1981. Frequent guests were Chelveston the duck, Cuddley Duddely (Roy Brown) the dog puppet, Dr. Lester Fisher (Ark in the Park) and Chauncey who was every off screen stagehand. Ray always wore a jumpsuit with notes attached that would tell him what to do next on the show. He did wacky crafts that just never quite worked the way they should. Ray always reported the scores for Slippery Rock College and often wore a hat that was half Chicago Cubs and half Chicago White Sox. He left Chicago to become a television weather forecaster in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
