CANTON Kaye L. Kroeger Thomas, 57, died at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 8, 2000, at Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton of lung cancer.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Forest Grove Cemetery in Canton. The Revs. Steve Smith and Stacey Nichols will officiate.
Mrs. Thomas was born Jan. 13, 1943 in Davenport, Iowa to Walter and Lila Kroeger.
She was married to Daniel W. Thomas on Aug. 27, 1963, in Madison, Wisc.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda K. Thomas of Latonia, Ky. and Michele Chopps of Crown Point, Ind.; one brother, John William Kroeger of Orlando, Fla.; a grandson, B.J. Chopps of Crown Point; and her former husband, Daniel W. Thomas of Crown Point.
Mrs. Thomas was a fine arts superintendent at the Lake County Fair in Crown Point for two years. She had exhibited extensively in the fair for many years. She was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority for over 30 years and was a member of the Purdue Extension homemakers. In Canton, she was a member of the extension homemakers, Sigma Kappa Sorority at Culver-Stockton College. She was a junior in college, majoring in art at Culver-Stockton College. She attended Immanuel United Methodist Church in Canton. She had worked many years with her former husband in his family business.
She is also survived by A. D. Glover, for whom she was a part-time secretary.
Memorials may be made to the Art Department of Culver-Stockton College in Canton.
