Born Dec. 1, 1943, in Ranson, WV, she was the daughter of Violet Ballenger Rowland, of Charles Town and the late Francis Jeremiah Rowland.
She was a member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday School teacher.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Ronald Rodgers, at home; two sons, L. Scott Rodgers and wife, Adrianne, of Bolivar, and Kris Rodgers and wife, Dawn, of Harpers Ferry; and one grandson, Cameron Rodgers, of Harpers Ferry.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Rowland; and one brother, Jeff Rowland.
Her son, "Scottie" has since followed her in death.
