Lillian's parents and sister are buried in Sylvan, MI cemetery. Son Dennis died in 1986 and is buried at Limestone Cemetery in Kankakee, IL. Son Tim died in 1992 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Brunswick Georgia. Both sons died of leukemia.

Lillian loved to have fun. She decorated for every holiday and was often teased at Christmas for trying to compete with Bronner's in Frankenmuth. She decorated every empty space inside and outside her home, including her bathroom, and car.
She always did little things to make people feel special. She always remembered birthday and anniversaries with a card for all her friends she made at the Senior Citizens Centers all around Genesee County. She often provided them with little trinket gifts, "just so they would get a little treat." She loved to sing, square dance, and shop. Before arthritis crippled her hands she loved to play music. Within minutes she could play any instrument she picked up. She played piano, organ, guitar, Hawaiian guitar, bass, and accordion, all self taught. She was a member of the Flushing Road Runner square dance club, and enjoyed dancing weekly at all the senior centers. She was voted for Miss Senior Citizen of Genesee County and sung the song she sang at her wedding to Bernard, "Can I Have This Dance?" She was married and buried in the same square dance dress. She was a fun mom, and grandma and will be missed by many that loved her. Lillian retired from the Genesee County Clerks Office.
